A comet spends most of its life in the dark. Years of silent travel, unobserved, holding its shape in the cold. Then it meets an atmosphere and everything changes at once, friction, light, heat, pieces coming off. The most visible moment of its existence is the one where it's being torn apart.
Comet Fall is built on that arc.
The Long Approach
The early tracks hold back. Momentum without release, the sound of something inbound that hasn't announced itself yet. Thirty years of production discipline goes into knowing how long you can make a listener wait.
Entry Burn
The middle of the album is the collision. Harder percussion, saturated low end, melodies that fray at the edges the way anything does when it's moving too fast through resistance. This is the RaveCore energy, but aimed downward, accelerating.
What Reaches the Ground
Not everything survives the descent. The closing tracks are what's left, smaller, denser, changed by the journey. The quietest music on the album, and the heaviest.
